West & Center Structure Completed
We are please to announce both the West and Center towers are now complete!

East Structure Completed
We are proud to announce that La Riva East Tower was "topped out." The building's
structure is now complete. Employees of BLHI and its
subcontractors celebrated on 12/17/04 with a fish fry party on site. In
keeping with tradition, a tree was placed on top of the east stair tower.
We are also proud to announce that this milestone was accomplished with no
lost time accidents.

Cathodic Protection
La Riva has been pointed out in an issue of Condo Owner Magazine for it's anit-corrosion
safety measures. La Riva is on the forefront being one of the first projects to use cathodic
protection to protect the steel frame work of the towers.

Minimal Hurricane Damage
Even with the incredible gale force winds experienced during Hurricane Ivan,
LaRiva incurred minimal damage, providing an awesome example for the future
LaRiva towers in both strength of structure and quality of engineering.
Perdido Key residents and businesses are hard at work with clean-up and
rebuilding efforts and although our own build schedule has been delayed by
about 60 days, we are proud to report that LaRiva construction is back on
track as well.
Ground breaking for the West and Center towers will take place on November 22.
10-28-04 Power Returns
Power has been restored on the island and the construction crews have been given access to go back to the site.
9-16-04 Ivan Makes Landfall
Hurricane Ivan officially made landfall at 3:00 a.m. in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Gulf Shores is approximately
20 miles west of the La Riva site. Valuable information about the storm can be found at this
National Weather Service web site.
